Lynn Cameron

Lynn grew up in this area, but left the state to go to college and spent 25 years in Kentucky before moving back to Bay City in 2013. He has a BA in Sociology from DePauw University in Greencastle IN, a Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Kentucky, and a Master’s in Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University.

He worked for 13 years with Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati, 8 years with Kentucky Dept. of Youth Services, and 3 years a youth minister. When he moved back to Bay City in 2013, Lynn accepted a position with McLaren Hospice as a social worker. Lynn’s main interests are travel and volunteering. He has visited 55 countries and has volunteered as a mentor for over 25 years.

Lynn’s connection with Toni & Trish started with his hospice work. He has referred dozens of patients to Toni & Trish House. He appreciates having access to an amazing resource that his patients and their families can utilize during such a stressful time.

 

Penny Robinson

Penny is a volunteer for Toni and Trish and recently has taken over as our Events Coordinator.  She works full time at Dow Chemical and is involved in a lot of other volunteer organizations.

 

Cathy Chang

Cathy was a board member since October 2013. She helped with Memorial Services for the Toni & Trish House.

 

Becky Chronowski, PA-C – Board President, Nov 2010 – Nov 2011

Becky is a Physician Assistant at Dow Corning Corporation Employee Health Services. She is the niece of Toni Waskevich. She has lived in Midland for the past 16 years with husband, Larry, and two sons. “I am very blessed to be a part of this grassroots effort to provide a place of comfort and caring for the terminally ill. “My Aunt Toni would be very proud.”

 

Joanne Johnston

JoAnne recently retired from the MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland after over 30 years of service. While employed at the medical center, JoAnne was the Continuing Medical Education Coordinator and coordinated educational programs for health professionals.

She was also an active volunteer for numerous departments at the medical center. She has lived in Auburn for over 35 years with her husband Bill. Bill and JoAnne have two daughters and five grandchildren.

 

Paula Klose, MD

Paula graduated from MidMichigan Medical Center’s Family Practice Residency in 1986 and has been a family practice doctor in Midland since 1989. She also served as Medical Director for hospice in its early days. Paula believes health care is a cooperative effort between patients and their health care providers.

 

Chris Lauckner

Chris recently joined the Toni & Trish House as the house Chaplain. He went through our training class for volunteer caregivers.

 

John S. McKelvey- Former Director

John, son of Trish (Pat) McKelvey, has volunteered and worked at Mother Teresa House in Lansing. He has an Associate degree in Hospice and Grief Counseling from the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Hospice training Institute in New Mexico. He also has an Associate degree in Nursing. He has been a Registered Nurse since 1995.

 

Carol McPherson, BSN

Carol is an occupational health nurse at Dow Chemical. Her life has been touched by hospice when family members have received care. In her work she has a pulse on the community and recognizes the need for hospice care in Midland. She has been an RN since 1992.

 

Aaron Oberlin, CFP- Treasurer/Secretary, 2008 – 2011

Aaron is a financial advisor with Rehmann. He has worked at Dow Chemical in Manufacturing and Finance and also owned a retail business in Midland. Aaron graduated from CMU with an MBA and from Michigan Tech with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Aaron is a member of Midland Noon Rotary. He was a Big Brother for ten years

 

Julie Ortiz

Julie has been a life-long resident of Midland and a realtor in Midland for the past 20 years. She and her husband and 2 daughters live in Midland and have been actively involved in the community over the years. Julie would like to see both quality of life and end of life quality care supported in our community.

 

Dr. Mike Parmer

Dr. Parmer is also board certified Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Palliative care. He serves as Vice-President for Medical Affairs, McLaren Homecare Group. He also serves as Chief Medical Director for Hospice and Palliative Care Programs of McLaren Visiting Nurse and Hospice Program.

 

Barb Prior

Barb went through our training and helps with the Volunteer Appreciation Dinners. She lives in Midland.

 

Christine Stockford, LLMSW

Christine is a Social Worker at Hospice Advantage. Christine has been involved with hospice care since the age of 16, when she began volunteering. She has held positions within hospice as a Volunteer Coordinator, Bereavement Coordinator and Social Worker.

Christine’s passion is working with the terminally ill and their families, providing support and compassion during a difficult time. She resides in Saginaw with her husband and her daughter.

 

Michelle Waskevich, LBSW

Michelle is the daughter-in-law of Toni Waskevich. Michelle strives to honor Toni’s passion for caring for the terminally ill through a hospice-like home in Midland. She has been a caseworker for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Midland County for the past 11 years.

 

Deb Winborn

Deb has been a hospice social worker with MidMichigan Home Care/Hospice for the past 10 yrs. She received her masters in social work from MSU in 1998. She has two grown daughters and has lived in Midland for the past 25 yrs. She became involved in establishing a home for the care of the terminally ill after meeting Trish McKelvey and her family in 2005. She is committed to providing compassionate end of life care to terminally ill patients and their families.

 

Kim Zielke

Dr. Zielke is board certified in internal medicine and palliative care. She served as the medical director of MidMichigan VNA/Hospice for twelve years. She started an in-home palliative care consult service in Midland, Clare and Gladwin counties in 2003.
